Child and Family Nutrition
Natalie is a central Texas native who grew up in Georgetown and moved to Austin to study nutrition at the University of Texas. She has received her PhD in Health Behavior and Health Education, Master of Science in Health Education, and Bachelors of Science in Nutritional Sciences all at the University of Texas at Austin. Natalie has also been a Registered Dietitian since 2011.
Since early adolescence, Natalie realized that food has the potential to improve individual’s health and wellbeing. As her professional career has developed, Natalie has maintained a focus on understanding how food shapes the behavior of individuals, particularly youth. She has done this through health behavior research, professional presentations, authoring scientific literature, and teaching college level courses on nutrition fundamentals, food service, and life cycle nutrition.
Natalie enjoys working in the garden, walking her dogs, and playing with her kids. She looks forward to the chance to meet and talk food with you.
