Alexis E

Postpartum & Newborn Care Consultant

Alexis is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker & Certified BEST Doula with over 10 years of experience supporting families. She received a Bachelor of Science in Child & Family Studies from Louisiana State University in 2007 and a Master’s of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin in 2009. Her own journey into motherhood inspired her to serve families as they navigate new parenthood and in 2016 she became certified as a doula. Alexis’ unique expertise allows her to bridge the gap between birth and mental health and she is passionate about supporting parents in their physical and emotional healing during the perinatal period. She believes wholeheartedly in the healing power of relationships and feels emotional support is a critical component in the sacred space of birth and postpartum.

Alexis has two tiny humans and one moody pup that she raises with the help of caffeine and a very tall husband. She enjoys Netflix binging, chic lit, snoballs, and blogging.
